About Suphala

Suphala Farmer Producer Company is located in Nitte, in Udupi district. It is primarily a Jackfruit Processing Cluster which aims at empowering small and marginal farmers, rural women, farm labourers and unemployed youth. It has established a model partnership to collaborate with the farmers and unemployed youth and support them by providing quality seeds and saplings, educate them on the benefits of cultivating Jackfruit and provide technical support to improve the product quality. Suphala not only aims at assuring consistent earnings to farmers by assured buy back schemes but will also provide employment and growth opportunities to local talent.

Acharya he has put in nearly three years of efforts to know about the fruit, the benefits, problems in harvesting, taken opinions of food processing industry experts, the local availability of the fruit. Result of his hard work is creation of Suphala farmers producer company which aims at Reducing the wastage of this nutritious fruit, creating local employment, increasing the farmers income, and providing dividends to the share holders who are the agriculture land holders nearby, popularising jack fruit and its products, helping local jack fruit based industries.
